Our Mission and Values

Mission Statement

The goal of Testify Studios is to partner with churches and ministries to help them tell the stories of the lives that have been changed and impacted by Jesus.  Each week, lives are being transformed, yet we have not been faithful stewards of these stories and testimonies. By failing to capture them, we miss the opportunity to inspire our local community with what Jesus has done and to create a lasting record we can revisit to remind ourselves of His faithfulness in the past.

Why storytelling?

We love finding stories and being a part of the process of bringing that story to people!  Having been in both corporate filmmaking, wedding filmmaking and documentary filmmaking, our favorite part is telling stories of faith that will live on to inspire people for generations!

Being able to share the stories of how Jesus is working through you to impact others, whether you are serving underprivileged people groups across the world or equipping the saints in the backyard, is such an important way to show donors the fruits of your labors. 

Jesus is always the Hero of the stories we tell

In every story we have the honor of capturing and sharing, there is room for multiple viewpoints, multiple sources, but there is room for only one hero – and that Hero is Jesus. Our most important role in guiding this process is to make sure that Jesus gets the credit and the glory.  When people far away get inspired by the testimonies of the miraculous, they will have the same access to Jesus as the person who’s story they first heard!

Why sharing testimonies is important

We see in scripture how each generation had to be diligent stewards of testimonials to share the stories of Gods faithfulness so that the next generation would not forget.  We all know God is active but sometimes we need a reminder of all that He is doing week in and week out to help us keep perspective that He is no respecter of persons, and that what He does for one he will do for others. What an honor to share the evidence that God is still moving today!   We love the process of filming testimonies as it celebrates what God has done publicly but it also continues to encourage us in our own journey and builds our faith as well!

Matt’s Perspective

“When I was growing up some of the most powerful services I can remember were testimony services where it was almost like an open mic night for people to share what God was doing in their lives.  Although I know that is a little risky for a service, it was also raw and really special to hear from people who aren’t generally in the spotlight, everyday people who had awesome stories to share. Some were miraculous, some were big breakthroughs and some were just small steps off faith but it was so encouraging for us as individuals and our church body.  I feel like our churches maybe need to get back to that and build a culture of hearing from people other than the polished communicators on stage every week.  To know that the person sitting next to you has their own Jesus story too!!”

Creating a culture of testimonies

Sharing victories creates an environment of celebration!  The local church should be a place of celebration for what God did for people during the week.  Scripture can be a great place to see what God has done for His people, but we need to make more room for what God is currently doing now as well!  Hearing the stories of the people we sit next to every week also makes people encouraged to share their stories outside the walls of the church.  And that’s really what it’s all about right? Sharing testimonies will raise the level of faith and expectation within the church body.  It will also remind us of God’s nature of being a good Father.

How Testify Studios can fit in

Churches can get so overwhelmed with keeping Sunday morning production running that they don’t carve out resources to capture stories inside their own body. Ministries often run lean and don’t have in house production capabilities to be able to focus on this. 

Testify Studios can work alongside any current production you may or may not have and have an intentional focus of being able to capture what Jesus is currently doing allowing you to continue your focus of ministry without there being a sacrifice anywhere.  Allow us to do what God has gifted us to do while you stay in your focus of what God has called you to do!
